I've been designing for the web since 2001. Two decades later, I know exactly what makes a website work: strategy that serves the business and design that serves the user.

I founded December Oak in 2014 to do the work I'm best at: designing websites. That's my focus and my expertise. On every project, I lead the strategy, design the user experience, and art direct the vision from branding to launch—making sure what we build actually solves the business problem.
I'm completely self-taught, which means I learned by building, testing, and solving real problems. Over the past decade, I've led teams of up to three people—managing copywriters, brand designers, and developers to bring projects to life. I've worn the hats of art director and web strategist, but my core role on every project is the same: I'm the web designer creating the experience that makes everything work.
I create interfaces where form and function work together—beautiful designs that are intuitive to use and built to perform. Every decision, from layout to interaction, is made with both the user experience and business goals in mind.
I guide the visual direction from start to finish, making sure typography, color, layout, and content create a unified experience. This includes collaborating with teams to ensure every element supports the overall vision and brand strategy.
I turn business goals into actionable site structure, user flows, and experiences that drive results. This means asking the right questions upfront to understand what success looks like, then building a foundation that supports it.
I develop custom Webflow sites that deliver clean, dynamic experiences—the kind that capture attention and achieve business objectives. I build in unexpected moments and interactions that immerse visitors, making the experience memorable while keeping the design focused on results.
Websites are more than digital art. They're tools that help businesses meet goals and grow. That's why I always start with strategy. I need to understand what success looks like before I design anything.
I can see how all the moving parts click into place. I look at the big picture, how the site serves the business and the user, while making sure no detail gets overlooked. This approach means every element, from the structure to the smallest interaction, serves a purpose.
I'm looking for remote opportunities with design agencies or in-house teams where I can focus on what I do best: designing exceptional web experiences. I work well in collaborative environments with established design systems, bringing over a decade of experience leading projects, managing teams, and solving complex design challenges.
I'm also available for contract work and projects.
Let's work together. Reach out.
